About the Calgary Innovation Coalition

Founded in 2016, and funded in partnership with Alberta Innovates, the Calgary Innovation Coalition works in coordination with seven other Regional Innovation Networks across the province.

In support of our north star goal of enabling the creation and accelleration of 1,000 technology-based startups in Calgary by 2031, we’re able to connect support, guidance, and resources to individuals seeking to navigate the innovation and startup ecosystem in the hope of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, and to help individuals and communities thrive in an ever-changing economic landscape.

Please see our About page for more information on the Calgary Innovation Coalition, our directorship and our goals.

About Regional Innovation Networks

The Calgary Innovation Coalition is one of eight community-based Regional Innovation Networks funded in part by Alberta Innovates.

These RINs are networks that prioritize entrepreneurs and communities, aiming to offer programs and services that facilitate the development and expansion of technology and knowledge-based businesses in their respective regions. These networks consist of public organizations that share a common goal of assisting small technology and knowledge-based businesses in innovating and expanding, with the aim of promoting economic diversification and cultivating a robust entrepreneurial culture in Alberta.
